Always read the fine print. Low-interest rates may not be as low as advertised when the ad says “as low as”. The consumer may be charged the higher rate. Cards labeled as gold or platinum are designed to make the consumer believe they have more value. That is not always true- don’t choose a card based on its name. Preapproval does not mean the advertised card is yours- you must still apply for the card and go through the entire approval process before the card will be issued. When the offer says “Big Bonuses”, that often requires very big purchases within a set amount of time, in order to receive the big bonus.
